Junior Primary Class
The junior primary program is for children from the age of 6 to 9
The Montessori classroom serves as the kids’ « living space. » Children choose their own activities from open shelves that contain self-correcting materials and finish them in allocated work places, such as on rugs, on the floor or at tables. This program allows the kids to study with intense focus and little interruptions. The following elements are found in the classroom:
Practical Life
By practicing grace and politeness, care of self and the environment, practical life exercises help children develop task organization and cognitive order.
Sensorial
The child can order, classify, and explain sensory perceptions in respect to length, width, temperature, mass, color, etc. using the sensorial materials.
Mathematics
The arithmetic lessons help the kid understand the ideas of number, symbol, sequence, and operations through the use of concrete manipulative materials.
Language
The language field includes oral language development, written expression, reading, and the study of grammar, and children’s literature.
